Online Gallery Tour

Welcome Small

The thumbnail photographs on this page will allow you the opportunity to take a brief "Online Tour." You will see some of the many paintings, bronzes and unique antiques that make their home at First State Bank.

Then you will understand why the Dallas Morning News, in its Southwest Scene magazine, once described this bank/museum building as like to walking into "A Whole Town's Living Room".

The title of an article in an earlier edition of Southern Living Magazine said it this way: "In This Bank, Art Draws Interest".

The artworks and antiques are displayed casually, much as they would be in a private home. Visitors can browse the collection on their own, or in groups.

The Bank is located at 200 E. Nopal St., in Uvalde and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Guided tours of the collection are provided for groups and can be arranged by contacting William Dillard, or Vennessa K. McLerran, at 830-278-6231. Self-guided tours can be taken at any time during regular banking hours.
