2016 FSB Grand Parade

On Labor Day weekend, over 60 Fiesta themed parade floats lined Hwy 83 in Uvalde. The FSB float was adorned with Fiesta decor and featured Grill Master Ernest Servantes as Grand Marshal along with UCISD mariachi band members and two members of Ballet Floclorico.

 FSB FRIO CANYON BRANCH WELCOMES NEW LEAKEY ISD TEACHERS

On August 17, 2016, Branch Manager and Vice President, Sandy Lynam along with Senior Vice President, Bill Dillard, welcomed the new teaching staff at Leakey ISD. FSB wishes everyone a wonderful 2016-2017 school year!

ST. HENRY DE OSSO CAMPERS TOUR FIRST STATE BANK OF UVALDE

 Children from the St. Henry De Osso summer camp came to the Main Bank on July 14th for a tour of the bank and to apply what they learned about the importance of the three "S" when dealing with money; Spend, Save, & Share.

 FSB DONATES TO DIMMIT REGIONAL HOSPITAL

 This summer, First State Bank of Uvalde made a donation to Dimmit Regional Hospital for their fund driver to acquire better diagnostic equipment for women's health. 2016 ESSAY WINNERS ANNOUNCED

"If I were given $500, I would..." was the essay topic for the 2nd Annual First State Bank Financial Literacy Essay contest. Students in grades 6th-9th from the surrounding Uvalde, Dimmit, & Real counties were encouraged to write on how they would make $500 last. 

This year's winners include: 

1st place - Joshua Guevara - Sabinal Middle School

2nd place - Ella Dorris - Flores Middle School, Uvalde

3rd place - Morgan Dreyer - Uvalde Classical Academy

4th - Celeste Arizmendi - Flores Middle School, Uvalde

ANADARKO ST. JUDE FUNDRAISER

 On May 21st teams began to play in the second annual Anadarko Reach for the Stars Golf Tournament. The tournament benefits St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Playing for FSB from left to right were: Trey Brownmiller, Merlin Maxey, Caitlynn Cumbie, & Paul Sanders.  First State Bank of Uvalde salutes Anadarko for their continued support of St. Jude's.
