Q: Why are you replacing my existing card with a Debit MasterCard®?
A: We believe MasterCard® allows us to serve you better.
Q: Will I receive a PIN mailer?
A: No. You will follow the directions on the card mailer to activate your card and select a PIN. To activate or change your PIN call 1-800-992-3808.
Q: What if my old card stops working and I have not received my new card?
A: Immediately call Account Services at (830) 278-6231.
Q: What should I do about charges automatically billed to my old card?
A: You must provide your new card information to companies that automatically bill your card. If your checking account information is an option you can also provide your routing and account number.
Q: Will my checking account change?
A: No. Your checking account will not change or be interrupted in any way.
Q: Will I be able to still get cash at ATMs?
A: Yes. Use your debit card to get cash at ATMs.
Q: How do I use my new card to pay for purchases?
A: Your new card will be used in the exact same way as your old card. MasterCard® is accepted worldwide and can be used for everyday purchases and shopping online.
Q: I have received my new MasterCard® in the mail, however, my card has been lost or stolen, what do I do now?
A: Should your new card be lost or stolen, please contact First State Bank of Uvalde at (830) 278-6231 during the day or after hours at 1-800-472-3272.
